User Data Deletion

Last updated: June 5, 2026

At Klaapy, developed by Merkava Studio, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. This page explains what data we store, how you can request its deletion, and what happens to data linked to your Meta account (Facebook and Instagram).

Data we store

When you use Klaapy with your Meta account, we may store:

  • Your email address (account identifier).
  • Meta OAuth access token, needed to publish on your behalf.
  • Linked Facebook Pages and Instagram Business accounts.
  • Post content (copy, images, and videos) you've uploaded.
  • Performance metrics of your posts (likes, reach, impressions).
  • Comments and messages on your posts (unified Inbox).
  • Workspace settings and team memberships.

How to request deletion of your data

You can request complete deletion of your data in two ways:

Option 1 — By email

Write to us at hello@merkavastudio.com with the subject Data deletion — Klaapy. Include the email address associated with your account.

Option 2 — From your account

If you have access to your account, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This immediately deletes all your data and disconnects your Meta account.

What data gets deleted

When processing your deletion request, we permanently and irrecoverably erase:

  • Your account and email address.
  • The Meta OAuth access token and any stored credentials.
  • All posts, drafts, and media content you've uploaded.
  • Publishing history and stored metrics.
  • Workspace memberships and settings.

Posts that have already been published on Facebook or Instagram remain on Meta. Klaapy has no ability to delete content from Meta's platforms. To do that, you must do it directly from your Facebook or Instagram account.

Response time

We process all deletion requests within a maximum of 30 calendar days from receipt.

You'll receive an email confirmation once the deletion is complete. If you don't receive confirmation within 5 business days, check your spam folder or contact us again.

Disconnecting Meta without deleting your account

If you only want to revoke Klaapy's access to your Meta account without deleting your Klaapy account, you can do it two ways:

  • From Settings → Integrations inside Klaapy, disconnect your Facebook or Instagram account.
  • Directly at Facebook's privacy settings → Apps and Websites → Klaapy → Remove.

When you disconnect via Meta, we immediately revoke the access token and can no longer read or publish on your behalf.

Data security

Your data is stored on AWS servers encrypted at rest (AES-256). Meta tokens are stored with additional encryption (Fernet/AES-128-CBC). No Merkava Studio employee has access to your access tokens in plain text.
